Project Type:

Commercial interior fit-up; Speakeasy Bar

Modeled after the first location in Portland, Maine, Lincoln’s is a speakeasy bar hidden in downtown Burlington.  It’s the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends, and everything on their menu is $5, cash-only.  We’re sworn to secrecy, but we dare you find it and check out our work!

Custom Weathered Seating

The owners wanted a space that was unpretentious, where locals could have a drink with friends and really connect — after they find the place, of course.  We built custom benches from fir and steel and sped up the weathering process to give them more character.

Speak-Easy Vibes

The factory window mirror wall spanning the back bar gives the space authenticity, while also making the room feel twice as big.  The mirrors help reflect the low lighting in the space, creating the speakeasy vibe that the owners sought.

Cohesive Aesthetic

We created the same weathered texture on the bar top, keeping the aesthetic simple and consistent. The front bar is wrapped in copper, complementing the dark wood and creating a visual interest that draws visitors to the counter for a drink.

The team at Imhotep are some of the most thorough and efficient group of craftsmen we have had the pleasure of working with.  They planned, articulated, and managed this project with professionalism and enthusiasm.  We would definitely seek their expertise on future endeavors.
