Matt and Caroline Corrente bought the defunct Lobby restaurant in Middlebury, Vermont, wanting to transform it into a multi-function space to combine their culinary passions. The challenge was to create a space that could adapt to each business, which operate at different times of the day, allowing them to both tell their own stories. In the early mornings, Caroline would be busy baking away, while at night, Matt would be cooking up homemade pasta. Now, you can stop in to taste Haymaker Bun Co.’s famous buns before the space transforms into the finest modern-Italian restaurant in Vermont, The Arcadian.
